Reading Through The Storm

Frankenstorm is coming! Are you prepared? You have your candles, flashlights, water, canned meats, bread, and whatever else you need to survive a hurricane? The most important thing you'll need is reading material. Here's a list of books that I immensely enjoyed and would like to suggest to you.

1. Good In Bed by Jennifer Weiner

2. Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner (sequel to Good In Bed)

3. Playing For Keeps: A Neighbor From Hell by R.L. Matthewson

4. Perfection: A Neighbor From Hell by R.L. Matthewson (book 2 in the series)

5. Scarlett: The Sequel to Margaret Mitchell's Gone With The Wind by Alexandra Ripley

6. Pride and Prejiduce by Jane Austen

7. My Blood Approves by Amanda Hocking (4 books in the series)

8. The Marriage Trap by Jennifer Probst

9. Season of Passage by Christopher Pike

10. The Stand by Stephen King

11.  Master Of The Game by Sydney Sheldon

12. One For The Money by Janet Evanovich (I've read up to fifteen in the series)

That's all for now. I pretty much love every book I've ever read - I won't finish the ones I don't like, but these 12 books are the ones that are standing out in my mind currently and I've read them all at least twice. Not all of them are available for eReaders, but you still have a couple of days before the storm hits. Enjoy your reading time and be safe!

Updates, Etc

My books are now available for the Nook, on Smashwords, and of course the Amazon Kindle.

I've been working on several projects at once. I had given myself an October 15th deadline to get one of them done, but I failed. Ah well. I'll get it done! I want to put out at least three in the next four to five months or so, because early next year I want to work on a behemoth novel that I have been working on for a decade. To give you a small idea of what it's about, I'll tell you that I started writing it long before all of these books came out about sexy, mega rich, alpha males. I have always had a thing for sexy, mega rich, alpha males I guess.

Ugh. Other work to do. You know Frankenstorm is coming, right??!!

So....

I took my book off of Nook, because it was doing NOTHING. I mean NOTHING. Not a one! Patience is a virtue, well then it's a virtue I am lacking in. I will revisit Barnes and Noble at another time.

I am working on several things all at once. The problem is that I am finding myself reading more than writing. It is all R.L. Mathewson's fault. Her characters are so...they're not so bizarre that you sit and think "this is cool but could never happen." Not at all. Even the vampires and other super natural beings she's written about seem more like real people. I love the male leads that she creates. They're usually bossy, stubborn, and sometimes big jerks. They're also sexy, good in bed, and have extremely redeeming personality traits, not to mention big hearts, becoming suckers for the women lucky enough to have them. She writes such a good story.

Anyway...her fault...

While working on new books, I'm also polishing Pieces Of Rhys and Accidentally On Purpose and trying to find ways to promote those books. It's a full time job and I wish I had someone else to do it for me. It's exhausting.

Hopefully I will have a new book released by November.

Ugh! I'm so busy! I'm trying to finish up a novella to release next week and I'm still working on my next novel. Try to have a preview of the novella soon!

Oh, I wish I had time to only concentrate on writing and promoting said writing!

BOOK ERRORS

Long story short, when I uploaded my book to Amazon, I accidentally uploaded an unedited version. I am finding mistake after mistake that I KNOW I fixed. Now my friend and I are spending hours going through and fixing it all over again. This is HIGHLY frustrating considering the amount of people who now have a copy of my book. It makes it seem like I didn't edit, when in fact I and three other people certainly did.

Some of the errors, you may not even have noticed, but some of them are big enough where you were probably thinking "Wow, this chick is an idiot." Yes, yes I am.

If you have read my book and like it, sans the mistakes, than that's fine and I appreciate it. If you don't like it because of the mistakes, I have no one else to blame but myself. However, if you don't like it just because you don't like it and you have some personal opinions on it, it's whatever. I can't please everyone.

Anyway, I apologize for my idiocy. We're fixing it now, and really, the mistakes don't change the story line.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
